What is BLACK-HEOLAS Ransomware
BLACK-HEOLAS Ransomware is a dangerous Ransomware virus that encrypt files on a computer and demand a ransom amount of money for the decryption key. BLACK-HEOLAS encrypted files and modified their filenames. Original names were changed to a random character string and appended with a “.hels” extension. This virus has been actives once system reboots up. BLACK-HEOLAS Ransomware generates suspicious error messages, pop-ups then redirect to malicious sites.
The actors behind BLACK-HEOLAS Ransomware are going to inform the victims about the file encryption via a ransom note called hels.readme.txt containing the following message:

6. To begin checking for threats like BLACK-HEOLAS Ransomware, click on the Start Scan button. Wait for this scan to finish.
7. At the end of the scan process, click on Remove all threats to delete BLACK-HEOLAS Ransomware, including all harmful objects from the computer.

Boot Your PC In Safe Mode
- Hold Windows key + R
- The “Run” Window will appear. In it, type “msconfig” and click OK.
- Go to the “Boot” tab. There select “Safe Boot” and then click “Apply” and “OK”.
Tip: Make sure to reverse those changes by unticking Safe Boot after that, because your system will always boot in Safe Boot from now on.
